The History of Wampler’s Insurance
Nelson Wampler (5/30/48-12/22/20), started Wampler’s Insurance Agency, in September of 1997, after 22-year long career in banking. Nelson was a Vietnam Veteran, retiring from the U.S. Army Reserves after 23 years of service. He was a college graduate of Clinch Valley College, now known as UVA-Wise. Nelson was a devoted Christian. He lived in Abingdon, VA with his wife Diana for over 40 years. He was very proud that his son. Brian, would be leading the family owned agency onto the future and would carry on their vision for the business.
J. Brian Wampler
Brian Wampler is the owner of the agency. Brian started in July of 1998 and has over 25 years of experience specializing in personal and commercial insurance. Brian goes above and beyond to help the customer. Brian is a lifelong resident of Abingdon and a graduate of Radford University. He loves anything sports related. He attends Woodland Hills Christian Church. Brian resides in Abingdon with his wife, Meredith, step-son Collin, and his daughter Taylor.
Brandy Trent
Brandy Trent is a fully licensed agent with 18 years of experience specializing in everything from home and auto to health and life insurance. Prior to insurance, she was a Financial Sales Representative for 8 years. Brandy’s knowledge of insurance needs provides the customers in our area with an outstanding level of service. Brandy resides in Meadowview, VA with her husband Aaron, and sons Ethan and Camden.
Tamsyn Brown
Tamsyn Brown is from Meadowview, VA and has been a licensed personal lines CSR at Wampler’s for over 12 years. She is a high school graduate of Patrick Henry High School and a college graduate of UVA-Wise with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She enjoys working for a family-owned independent agency that goes out of their way for their customers. Tamsyn resides in Glade Spring, VA with her husband Jimmy and their daughter Aubrey.
